The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Butere has officially launched its Nairobi Chapter with a vibrant and spiritually enriching service, presided over by the Rt. Rev.Rose Okeno.
This landmark event united members of the Diocese residing and working in Nairobi, along with clergy and senior diocesan leadership, in a celebration of this significant advancement in the Diocese’s mission and outreach.
In her exhortation, drawn from Diocesan compass verse 1 Corinthians 3:10, Bishop Okeno challenged the congregation to carefully build on the already laid foundation by adding value to the work already done, and ensuring to leave a legacy for future generations by supporting the Diocese’s mission and ministry, regardless of their location. She highlighted that, despite many members now residing in Nairobi, they remain an integral part of the Diocese of Butere and are called to serve as ambassadors of Christ within their communities.
The atmosphere was one of joy, gratitude, and celebration as members of the newly established Nairobi Chapter warmly received Bishop Rose. Many expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for the opportunity to connect with their Bishop away from their home churches in Butere. This visit reinforced their sense of belonging and reaffirmed the Diocese’s commitment to guiding its members wherever they may be.

The launch signifies a new era in strengthening fellowship among Diocese members in Nairobi, promoting spiritual growth, mutual support, and deeper engagement with the Diocese’s mission.
The service concluded with prayers for the Nairobi Chapter, seeking divine blessings for its members and guidance as they serve as faithful witnesses of Christ while maintaining their connection to the diocesan family.
