The ACK Diocese of Butere held a leadership Retreat and Training for Standing Committee on April 28, 2026. The main theme was on “effective leadership for effective growth” Rev. Paul Mwenje, who preached at the beginning emphasized the importance of trusting in God and walking in His light to effectively light the darkened world. The message reassured that Jesus’ mission is salvation, not condemnation, offering forgiveness to those who seek Him. Leaders were urged to reflect on the Word of God and realign their lives to God’s will.
Bishop Rose expressed gratitude for participants’ attendance and reminded them the importance of proper induction for those chosen to serve in various spaces, which was the main reason for the training.
The Bishop introduced the main facilitator Mr. Bwibo Adieri, who was the main facilitator. taught on leadership principles focusing the importance for execellence in God’s ministry,urging innovative resource mobilization and accountability, effective planning for transforming Christian lives. He emphasized prudent financial management and protecting personal interests and avoid conflicts.

The day concluded with an epilogue message shared Lay Reader Joyna, drawing lessons from Psalm 91, highlighting that losing intimacy with God often happens within the church due to busyness. She stressed the importance of anchoring in God’s Word to prevent spiritual dryness, noting ministry should flow from a relationship with God. This day catalyzed a shift in many hearts, prompting a return to prayer and personal connection with God.
