St. Luke’s Cathedral of the ACK Diocese of Butere hosted a Diocesan Women Ministry Leadership event on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno delivering a sermon based on Psalms 24, She encouraged the congregation to be good stewards appreciating the ownership God, human responsibility and accountability.
She emphasized the importance of leading as stewards rather than owners, advocating for character over competence and maintaining integrity in communication. She concluded by urging leaders to cultivate a culture of seeking God and to consistently recognize His sovereignty.
Pastor Benjaline Akenga addressed the issues of sin and mediocrity within the church, aligning her message with the Diocesan vision. She challenged parish leaders to embrace humility while guarding their hearts, encouraging them to give what they have and to ensure their actions align with their words. She stressed the importance of promoting unity within church offices and avoiding irrelevant conversations.

Pastor Julius Akenga spoke on the influence of interactions on behavior patterns, highlighting that God does not choose perfect or qualified individuals but rather those who are ready to be used for His work. He reminded the congregation that everyone possesses a unique personality bestowed by God, underscoring the importance of unity in diversity.
