St. John’s Mukhombe Parish celebrated a significant milestone with Laying of foundation on the vicarage, consecration of St. Luke’s Ebukhoba, confirmation of 31 candidates, and a Holy Communion service.
The service was presided over by Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno, who, in her sermon, drawn from Mathew 14, focused on recognizing and calling on Jesus in daily storms. She encouraged Christians to listen carefully to the voice of Christ, and be able to distinguish His voice from other voices.
Bishop Okeno urged the newly confirmed Christians to deepen their relationship with Christ and remain committed to their faith. The foundation stone laying marked another important step in the growth and development of St. John’s Mukhombe Parish.
