The ACK Diocese of Butere held a special fellowship for senior citizens drawn from all parishes across the Diocese, led by the Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno. The gathering provided an opportunity for thanksgiving, reflection, and encouragement as retirees shared inspiring testimonies of faithful service, integrity, and God’s faithfulness throughout their professional lives.
Preaching from Psalm 92 and Isaiah 46:3–4, Bishop Okeno emphasized the importance of thanksgiving and reminded the congregation that God continues to sustain His people into old age. She encouraged the senior citizens to embrace retirement as a new season of purpose through mentoring, serving the Church, offering wise counsel, and remaining faithful witnesses of Christ.
