The atmosphere was filled with pomp, color, and celebrations as the ACK Shibembe Secondary School students commemorated the official commissioning of their new eight-classroom modern storey building.
The ceremony was led by the Diocesan Administrative Secretary, Reverend Canon Silas Hopillo, standing in for the Diocesan Bishop who is currently on sabbatical leave.
Upon the arrival of the area Member of Parliament, Tindi Mwale, the students joyfully sang Thanksgiving songs to mark the completion of the building, which is capable of accommodating up to four hundred students.
Canon Hopillo expressed gratitude to the NG-CDF for selecting Shibembe as a recipient of the storey building project within the constituency. Drawing inspiration from Psalm 24 in his sermon, he encouraged the MP to remain steadfast and focused on his agenda while serving the constituents.
In response, Mwale acknowledged the significant role played by the Anglican Church in the Shibembe community and pledged to collaborate closely with the community to drive development initiatives forward.
The event was also attended by the Buchenya Archdeacon, Ven Daniel Inyangala, the Diocesan Education Secretary, Reverend Canon Robert Matati, the Shiatsala Deanery Area Dean, Reverend Harrison Etindi, and the Emmanuel Shibembe Parish Vicar, Reverend Everline Opanda.
