Bishop Rose Okeno expressed her heartfelt condolences to the family of Nathan Ateka, who recently lost his wife, Elder Ateka, after a prolonged illness. During the funeral service at St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere, Bishop Okeno delivered a poignant three-minute speech, emphasizing the importance of trusting in God during times of grief.

She encouraged the grieving family to find solace and hope in Christ as they navigate through their sorrow and seek comfort from God. Elder Ateka, a devoted member of the Tukutenderesa fellowship, was laid to rest at her home in Mabole village in Butere.

The funeral service brought together Tukutenderesa faithfuls from various parts of the country and neighboring Tanzania and Uganda.

Bishop Okeno’s words of wisdom and comfort resonated with all those in attendance, offering peace and strength during this difficult time.

Bishop John Okude Omuse of the ACK Diocese of Katakwa attended the service and condoled with the family.
