With resounding reverence for the African Institute for Contemporary Mission and Research (๐—”๐—œ๐—–๐— ๐—”๐—ฅ), particularly its role as an interdenominational hub, uniting various religious denominations, we gathered here to celebrate the unwavering commitment of the African Institute for Contemporary Mission and Research (AICMAR) to fostering unity and cooperation among different faiths. Over seventy dedicated clergy members convened at this distinguished institution for a truly transformative event โ€“ the Clergy Care Workshop.

This exceptional endeavor, representing the third installment of a comprehensive four-part series, had been meticulously designed to equip our clergy with the indispensable tools required for excellence in their pivotal roles. Under the expert guidance of Mrs. Freda Mojola, a renowned counselor with profound expertise, this workshop delved profoundly into the critical theme of CARE-GIVING. Its primary focus was to impart invaluable insights into supporting individuals who care for loved ones with disabilities or grapple with long-term illnesses within our fifty-one parishes.

What sets this workshop apart is its inclusive ethos, which extends a warm invitation not only to our diocesan clergy but also to pastors and bishops from diverse denominations who share our unwavering dedication to this noble mission.

Our journey commenced with the inaugural workshop, centered around “stress management,” and proceeded to the second, dedicated to “Grief and Assisting Those in Grief.” As we navigated this enriching series, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to those from other denominations who joined us, including the esteemed Chairman of the Western Clergy Association, who graced us with their presence. We enthusiastically invite all clergy members, whether from within our diocese or beyond, to join us for the upcoming fourth workshop on November 29th. Together, we will explore the crucial topic of “retirement,” ensuring that our clergy members remain empowered throughout their life journeys, from ministry to well-deserved rest.
