ACK St. Luke’s Cathedral today conducted a FREEING Service to mark the commencement of major renovation on the Cathedral Vest room, a project initiated by the Diocesan Canons to create a spacious room. Originally envisioned in April 2026, the project has now progressed to the implementation stage.
Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno presided over the ceremony, honoring Canons for their foresight and dedication. She described the initiative as a pivotal advancement for the Cathedral and expressed heartfelt appreciation to all who contributed for playing a role in bringing this vision to fruition.

In her sermon, based on Haggai 1:1–13, Bishop Okeno highlighted the critical importance of prioritizing God’s work, obedience, and shared responsibility in the development of the church. She urged the congregation to support God’s work with unwavering faithfulness, emphasizing that divine blessings are bestowed upon those who commit themselves to building His Kingdom.
The service concluded with prayers and expressions of gratitude, as the congregation celebrated the project’s inception.
