The ACK Diocese of Butere, under the leadership of Bishop Rose Okeno, in collaboration with CITAM, organized a comprehensive Sunday School training program for children and teachers at St. Luke’s Cathedral. This multi-day event was meticulously designed to foster both spiritual and personal development among participants. The training attracted 956 children and 242 teachers, each day beginning with a gathering for devotion and prayer, establishing a reverent atmosphere for the activities to follow.

The program commenced with a joyful processional, accompanied by salutes and pledges, which cultivated a sense of unity and shared purpose. Worship sessions elevated spirits and prepared attendees for deeper engagement. Children participated in memory work, internalizing essential biblical teachings before attending structured classes that promoted understanding and reflection.

Creativity was encouraged through craft activities, enabling participants to express their learning in tangible ways. As the day progressed, everyone gathered in the main hall for lively music sessions, fostering joy and active participation. The day typically concluded with responsive Bible reading, reinforcing scripture in a communal and interactive setting before dismissal.

The training concluded with a formal handover to the ACK Butere team, marking the successful completion of the program and leaving participants enriched, inspired, and spiritually strengthened. Mr. John Were, the CITAM team leader, expressed gratitude to Diocesan Bishop Rose Okeno for her support throughout the program. The Very Rev. Moses Omoke, who officiated and closed the training, remarked on the significant learning achieved and encouraged participants to apply their newfound knowledge in practice.
