
Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere is encouraging Christians to leverage social media and online platforms to promote and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In her address, delivered on Thursday, August 8, 2025, at the ongoing ACK KAMA Western Region Conference held at Nambale Magnet School, Bishop Okeno emphasized the unifying power of these digital platforms. She urged Christians to take advantage of this opportunity by recording sermons and sharing Christ-centered content with friends and family.
Bishop Okeno highlighted that God has provided these platforms to facilitate positive societal change, and it is the responsibility of Christians to manage them effectively. She also advocated for the importance of wholesome communication, urging attendees to be mindful of their speech.

The conference, features participants from six dioceses, including Mumias, Maseno North, Bungoma, Katakwa, the host Nambale Diocese, and Butere Diocese which has mobilised 43 representatives led by the Butere Diocese’s Men’s Ministry Coordinator, Rev. Steve Onani, and KAMA Chairperson Patrick Ambunya.
The conference is set to conclude on Saturday, with the next year’s event scheduled to be hosted by the Maseno North Diocese.
