The four-day music training workshop organized by the ACK Diocese of Butere has successfully concluded, equipping participants with essential skills in reading and interpreting solfa notation, as well as enhancing vibrant worship practices within their churches.

Rev. Everline Opanda, the Diocesan Music and Liturgy Coordinator, noted that the training brought together choir members, praise and worship leaders, and instrumentalists. Speaking at St. Stephen’s Mulwanda on Friday afternoon, she emphasized that the workshop would empower participants to align their practices with the Anglican Church liturgy, fostering uniformity in worship across the various parishes.

Her sentiments were echoed by James Amukhale, the Chairperson of the Music and Liturgy Committee, who encouraged attendees to utilize the knowledge and skills gained during the training to mentor others in their parishes.

Additionally, Ven. Canon Peter Andere, the Archdeacon of Mulwanda, expressed gratitude to the participants for their dedication and resilience in their ministry, urging them to serve as exemplary role models for others.

The training, which commenced on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, was conducted across two Archdeaconry centers—Buchenya and Mulwanda—each hosting sessions for two days. This initiative marks a significant step towards enriching the musical and liturgical life of the Diocese.
