The ACK Butere Diocesan Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Reverend Rhoda Isomi, has emphasized the importance of Sunday school teachers having a genuine passion for children as they work to share the gospel with the next generation. She highlighted that the children’s ministry plays a crucial role in the early development of young individuals within the broader ministry of Christ.
Furthermore, Reverend Rhoda encouraged teachers to incorporate music into worship to make Sunday school services more engaging for children. She spoke at a Diocesan Children’s Ministry capacity-building event for parish chairpersons held at the ACK St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere. She commended the current team of teachers, predominantly comprised of women, for their outstanding work in the children’s ministry. She also called upon young men to join them in spreading the gospel to the youth.
Her sentiments were supported by the Diocesan Mission Director, Reverend Edward Musungu, who urged all parish chairpersons to maintain professionalism in their roles by consistently attending children’s ministry meetings. This ensures unity within the team. The Diocesan Children’s Ministry Chairperson, Reverend Aggrey Okutoyi, was also present at the event.

The meeting was essential for chairpersons as they were guided on their responsibilities within the children’s ministry, as well as gaining an understanding of the Diocesan strategic plan and its implementation.
