The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Butere has officially released the results of the Form Three joint examinations sponsored by the ACK and conducted in the third term of 2024. This examination served as the entry exam for Form Four, with students from thirty-five schools participating.
The Diocesan Education Secretary, Reverend Canon Robert Matati, emphasized that the purpose of these joint exams is to elevate the education standards within the schools. Speaking at the event held at the ACK St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere, Canon Matati highlighted the importance of benchmarking and collaboration among Anglican schools in the diocese to achieve better results.
Canon Matati also acknowledged the financial challenges faced by parents in paying school fees, particularly due to the rural locations of the schools. He urged parents to work closely with school administrations to ensure timely fee payments for their children.
During the event, the top three students from each participating school were recognized and awarded for their outstanding performance. Principals and heads of studies from the participating schools also attended the event and pledged to redouble their efforts to improve academic outcomes.
Lay Canon Luke Ogolla, speaking on behalf of the principals, expressed their commitment to making a lasting impact on education within the diocese and positively influencing both students and the community.
The event was graced by the presence of the Diocesan Administrative Secretary, Reverend Canon Silas Hopillo, and The Very Reverend Moses Omoke. In his sermon, Provost Omoke drew inspiration from the book of Colossians 3:23-24, encouraging students and teachers to approach their work with integrity and diligence, emphasizing the importance of finishing strong in the educational journey.
