Our ministry is dedicated to empowering and supporting women, breaking down barriers, and fostering a community where all women can thrive and make significant contributions to society and the church.

Our vision is to create a society where women are empowered, celebrated, and fully engaged in the life of the church and the community. We strive to overcome traditional stereotypes and promote a culture that recognizes the immense value of women in all aspects of life.
Our Mission:
At the Women’s Ministry of the Diocese of Butere, our mission is multi-faceted and focuses on several key areas:
Empowering Women in Marriage and Home Management: We provide counseling and training in basic home management skills, supporting women to build strong and stable families. We believe that empowered women create thriving households, fostering a positive impact on their families and communities.
Nurturing Children’s Faith: We believe in the importance of parents’ role in shaping their children’s faith. Our ministry encourages parents to actively engage in the spiritual development of their children, creating a foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.
Prayer and Fellowship: We maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christian women, united in prayer, worship, and service. Through this global network, we share prayer needs and support one another, fostering a sense of sisterhood and unity.
Promoting Stable Family Life and Child Protection: We advocate for conditions in society that support stable family life and protect children. Our ministry actively engages in initiatives to create a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their well-being and growth.
Supporting Those in Adversity: We extend a helping hand to those who have experienced adversity in their family life, providing support, counseling, and resources to overcome challenges and move towards healing and restoration.
Empowering Women in Leadership: We are dedicated to teaching and encouraging young women to take up leadership roles within the church and ministry. We believe that diversity in leadership enriches the church and empowers women to contribute their unique talents and perspectives.
Economic Empowerment for Widows: We are committed to training widows, who often face significant challenges when their husbands pass away, to engage in income-generating projects and small-scale businesses. By doing so, we help them become self-reliant and break free from dependence on the extended family or widow inheritance practices.
