
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, ACK St. Matthew’s Bululwe Secondary School in the ACK Diocese of Butere officially inducted Mrs. Josephine Otweya as its new principal during a service led by Bishop Rose Okeno. The event was attended by parents, students, teachers, and principals from various ACK-sponsored schools across the Diocese.
Notable attendees included Mr. Peter Were from Imanga Secondary School, Mrs. Pauline Auma of Eshitari Secondary School, Mrs. Judith Omukuba of Emutsasa Secondary School, Mrs. Dinah from Muyundi Girls Secondary School, Mr. Aquinas Wamukoya of St. Stephen’s Shiatsala, Mr. Joseph Inganga of St. Joseph’s Shitsitswi, Mr. Clement Eyinda of Masaba Secondary School, Mr. Lusiji Baridi of St. Peter’s Ematundu School for the Deaf, Mrs. Beatrice Ayanga of Shiraha Senior School, Mrs. Hellen Atenya of St. Barnabas Shinamwenyuli, and Mr. Samuel Ogolla of St. Matthias Mwitoti Secondary School, who also serves as a mentor to Mrs. Josephine.Mr. Patrick Shikanda of St. John’s Bukolwe.
Canon Luke Ogolla of St. Joseph’s Lunza expressed their gratitude to Bishop Rose for her spiritual guidance, grace, and anointing, which continue to fortify their leadership and service. They also acknowledged the supportive and nurturing environment fostered within Anglican-sponsored institutions. Canon Luke Ogolla highlighted that the Bishop’s anointing has significantly contributed to the success and growth of the schools.
Several school heads and church leaders expressed gratitude to Bishop Rose Okeno for her spiritual leadership and support, noting its positive impact on Anglican-sponsored institutions and school growth.
In her address, Bishop Okeno congratulated Mrs. Otweya and encouraged her to lead faithfully and diligently. She also urged parents, especially fathers, to prioritize the education of girls, emphasizing their role in transforming families and society.

Preaching from Esther 4:1–17, Bishop Okeno highlighted the importance of godly and strategic leadership. She encouraged leaders to listen to others, exercise patience, courage, wisdom, and prayerfulness, and to remain loyal and humble in service while fostering environments that promote positive character and institutional growth.
