The Right Reverend Rose Okeno has called upon the congregation of the ACK Diocese of Butere to maintain a spirit of gratitude for God’s blessings. The bishop expressed her admiration for the congregation’s efforts during the Thanksgiving service for the past four years, which successfully raised funds for the acquisition of land in Kakamega. This land is designated for the development of diocesan rental units intended to generate income for the diocese.
During the groundbreaking ceremony at the diocesan land in Kakamega, Bishop Rose announced that the first phase of construction will involve the development of twelve two-bedroom units. She expressed her gratitude to the congregation for embracing the Thanksgiving initiative and making significant contributions.

Drawing inspiration from the Book of Psalms, the bishop reminded the assembly, which included the members of the Standing Committee, the ACK Butere clergy, departmental leaders, and members of the laity, to consistently express thankfulness to God for His blessings. She described the service as an official spiritual possession and encouraged the diocese congregation to take ownership of this initiative as they work towards investing in the land.
