Seventy-three candidates have been confirmed at ACK St. Teresa’s Ebutunyi Church, marking a pivotal moment in their Christian journeys. The confirmation service was presided by Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere, who urged the candidates to place their utmost faith in God as they navigate the complexities of life.

Bishop Okeno encouraged the congregation to take an active role in guiding these new members in God’s ministry. Drawing inspiration from the Book of Numbers, she emphasized the importance of repentance and the need to seek God’s blessings, cautioning against the dangers of trivial complaints that could lead to divine disfavor.

The bishop further advised the congregation to maintain their focus on God, particularly in times of adversity, as this steadfastness would lead to spiritual upliftment.

Following the service, Bishop Okeno addressed the political landscape, urging politicians to embrace political tolerance to foster a peaceful environment. In remarks to a battery of journalists outside the church, she called on the government to intensify its efforts in combating corruption, which she identified as a significant impediment to effective service delivery for citizens.
