It was a vibrant graduation celebration party of Lina Omukuba, daughter of the Mulwanda Archdeacon, Ven. Canon Peter Andere, from the University of Eastern Africa Baraton.
The occasion, which included a Thanksgiving service, took place at the residence of the Canon in St. Stephen’s Mulwanda Parish, drawing together family, friends, and parish members to honor this significant achievement.
Lina, the fourth daughter of Ven. Andere and his wife, Addah, graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Her academic journey at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton commenced in August 2021, following her completion of high school at Friends School Kaimosi Girls.

Throughout the event, speakers praised Lina for her resilience and dedication, encouraging her to pursue further education and continue her professional development. The service was attended by clergy from various parishes, including Rev. Jane Orembe, Rural Dean of the Namasoli Deanery; Rev. Harrison Mirikau of the Shiraha Deanery; Rev. Victor Okutoto of Emwanga Parish; Simon Muyoyi of Ebukwala Parish; ACK Namasoli Health Centre chairman Dr. Ibrahim Amira and other distinguished guests.
This celebration not only highlighted Lina’s accomplishments but also fostered a sense of community and support among those present, reinforcing the importance of education and perseverance.

Rev. Okutoto, drawing inspiration from Psalm 126, urged the students in the ACK Diocese of Butere to emulate exemplary role models and dedicate themselves to their academic pursuits.
He cautioned them against engaging in behaviors that could detract from their commitment to achieving academic excellence.
