The ACK Diocese of Butere hosted a Young Mothers Rally at St. Stephen’s Mulwanda Parish, attracting over two hundred participants for a profoundly impactful service. Rev. Emily Meta Weswa delivered an inspiring sermon based on 1 Corinthians 3:10, emphasizing the critical importance of cultivating a relationship with God during one’s youth. She poignantly observed that many people often turn to their faith later in life, encouraging the congregation to recognize and harness the diverse talents bestowed upon them by God.

Rev. Emily urged the young mothers to serve in whatever capacity they are called, reminding them that they are chosen witnesses of God’s grace and should consistently share the testimonies of His work in their lives.

The event featured several distinguished speakers from local health facilities. Dorah Aura, a health specialist, addressed the essential role of maintaining good hygiene for mothers and parents alike, highlighting how such practices can help prevent common communicable diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and hypertension.

Dominic Amwayi, another health expert, focused on mental health, offering valuable insights on stress management to promote a peaceful and fulfilling life. He pointed out that many women face mental health challenges due to the stress they impose on themselves while navigating life’s difficulties.

Additionally, Joan Mulama, a dedicated educator, spoke on the significance of effective parenting in the 21st century. She urged attendees to set positive examples for their children, instilling a clear understanding of right and wrong while fostering discipline.

The rally was further enriched by the presence of several clergy members, including Rev. Jane Orembe and Women’s Ministry Chaplain Rev. Aggrey Okutoyi, who contributed to the uplifting atmosphere of the event. Overall, the Young Mothers Rally served as a powerful platform for spiritual growth, health education, and community engagement, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
