
The Right Reverend George Mechumo, Bishop of the ACK Diocese of Bungoma, has emphasized the importance of gratitude towards God for His blessings.
The Rt. Rev. Mechumo highlighted Thanksgiving as a fundamental aspect of worship, underscoring the necessity of faith in God to receive His blessings.
Citing Colossians 3:17, Mechumo urged every Christian to engage in self-reflection and express gratitude to God through Thanksgiving for His abundant mercies. The Bishop delivered these powerful words during a thanksgiving service for Leonid Ashindu, appointed commissioner at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. The service took place at Manyala grounds in Butere sub-county on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Assisting Bishop Mechumo were ACK diocese of Butere bishop’s representatives The Very Reverend Moses Omoke, Provost at the ACK St. Luke’s Cathedral, and The Venerable Daniel Inyangala, Buchenya Archdeacon. Commissioner Ashindu expressed his gratitude to the church for their prayers, which he believed had played a significant role in securing his new position. He also pledged to carry out his duties diligently in his new role.
