The Bishop of ACK Butere Diocese has called upon the principals of ACK-sponsored schools within the diocese to wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to serving as they lead their schools towards success. Bishop Okeno stressed that their commitment to their schools will result in a significant improvement in academic performance.
Moreover, Bishop Okeno urged the school leaders to exhibit professionalism in all their endeavors to enhance spiritual programs and academic excellence. The Right Reverend Okeno delivered these sentiments on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, during a breakfast meeting with principals and heads of institutions at St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere.
In her sermon based on the book of Joshua 3, Bishop Okeno spoke about overcoming obstacles by identifying them, attentively listening to God, obeying His word, and taking action to move forward. She emphasized that leadership challenges can be conquered through strategic planning and execution.
During the meeting, Lay Canon Luke Ogolla, the principal of Lunza Boys High School, mentioned that the Diocesan Board of Education has established a tradition of holding a fellowship with the bishop at the beginning of each term. This practice allows teachers to gain insight into the diocesan strategic ministry programs in schools.
