Bishop Rose Okeno praised the principals and headteachers for their exceptional efforts in preparing students for the upcoming national exams, scheduled to commence next week.
She urged them to continue demonstrating strong leadership within their schools and to embody the principles of servant leadership.
Additionally, the fourth bishop of the Butere Diocese expressed gratitude for the teachers’ close collaboration with the sponsor in organizing educational activities for the upcoming year.
These collaborative efforts were recognized during the official conclusion of the ACK Butere Diocese School Principals and deputies ‘ two-day retreat in Kisumu.
Bishop Okeno reassured the teachers of the church’s steadfast dedication to not only providing pastoral support within their institutions, but also supporting needy students by paying fees where and when possible .
The entire event was a culmination of the efforts of Diocesan Education Board led by Canon Grace Amira (chairlady) and Canon Robert Matati (Diocesan Education Secretary).
