ACK Butere diocese bishop Rose Okeno jetted back into the country from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe where she attended the Anglican Communion Safe Church Conference.
In her presentation during the conference focusing on Micah 6:8, she challenged the audience to intentionally create a safe space in the church for survivors of abuse by acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God.
she gave a wonderful talk rooted in the Bible and with her experience, she connected well with the participants.
The conference ended on September 10, 2024, with the fourth Butere diocesan insisting that the church should be a place where everyone finds justice, love, and mercy
