On Sunday, May 17, 2026, Bishop Rose Okeno of the Anglican Church of Kenya Diocese of Butere presided over a service at ACK Emmanuel Kengeleni Frere Town in Kisauni, Mombasa.. In her sermon, based on Ezekiel 36:24, Bishop Okeno emphasized the importance of societal transformation through the renewal of hearts. She reflected on God’s promise to the people of Israel, as conveyed through prophet Ezekiel, to give them a new heart and a new spirit. She noted that the challenges facing our nation can only be overcome through leaders whose hearts have been transformed by God. She further urged Christians to seek spiritual renewal, remain steadfast in prayer, uphold unity in love, and serve God faithfully and wholeheartedly in their daily lives.
Bishop Okeno commended the congregation of ACK Emmanuel Kengeleni Frere Town for their unwavering dedication to ministry and their ongoing efforts to strengthen the Church’s mission in the region. She urged Christians to act as ambassadors of Christ, promoting harmony, compassion, and integrity within society.
