
Bishop Rose Okeno has expressed her gratitude to the Diocese of Butere ACK-sponsored schools for their outstanding performance in the 2025 KCSE national examination results. She commended the teachers for their hard work and dedication in imparting knowledge and shaping students into responsible members of society.
During a breakfast fellowship with the school principals on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, held at st. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere, Bishop Rose encouraged them to continue guiding students in their spiritual and academic journeys. She particularly praised ACK St. Barnabas Shinamwenyuli Secondary School for achieving the top grade of A plain and pledged support for the student as he progresses in his studies. “Clement Opiyo made us proud by scoring an A with 84 points,” she remarked.
Furthermore, Bishop Rose expressed her appreciation to the principals for their participation in the Diocesan Thanksgiving service. “You exceeded expectations in our thanksgiving service, which is dedicated to worshiping God through personal conviction,” she added.

Drawing inspiration from 2 Samuel chapter 24, Bishop Rose cautioned against the dangers of pride and the sin of familiarity. The breakfast fellowship provided an opportunity for principals to bond, encourage one another, and enhance teamwork. The service was also attended by members of the education board, led by Chairperson Lay Canon Grace Amira among others.
Later the teachers announced the Anglican Association of Schools Exam sponsored by the Diocese which the bishop commended the current form for class for the good results. The exam is a common entry to gauge the preparedness of the current form four students.
