Students of Butere Girls High School celebrated with songs and dances upon the arrival of a new school bus, funded by the Constituency Development Fund office. The festivities commenced at Sabatia market, where the students received the bus and ceremoniously escorted it to the school grounds.
The Member of Parliament for Butere constituency, Tindi Mwale, officially delivered the bus to the school, presenting the logbook to the newly appointed School Principal, Linda Zalo. This event marked a significant advancement in enhancing the educational opportunities and logistical capabilities of the institution.
The thanksgiving and dedication service was led by the Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno, who highlighted the importance of gratitude and readiness to serve God. Drawing inspiration from the Bible, she urged the congregation to focus on their intrinsic value and contributions to God’s work, rather than material gains.
Rev. Okeno noted that the addition of the third bus will greatly benefit the school, which has a high student population. She emphasized that the donation exemplified the vital role of community and governmental support in improving educational infrastructure, particularly in schools that often face resource constraints.

School Principal Linda expressed her gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the generous donation of a new bus, which will significantly enhance transportation for students attending inter-school events and academic trips.
The contribution expanded opportunities for experiential learning and encourages participation in extracurricular activities, which are essential for a well-rounded education. As the third bus in the school’s fleet, it serves as a catalyst for boosting student morale and engagement, thereby fostering a more dynamic educational environment that nurtures the future leaders of our community.
