Abashirotsa Council of Elders Commit to Supporting God’s Ministry after Meeting Bishop Rose Okeno

The Abashirotsa Council of Elders in Butere Sub-county has commended the initiatives undertaken by the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Butere, which have significantly enhanced the livelihoods of the community.

They expressed their gratitude to Diocesan Bishop Rose Okeno for her exemplary leadership in launching programs that have positively impacted widows and established safe spaces for girls within the community.

During a meeting on Thursday with Bishop Rose Okeno, the council led by their chairperson Samuel Aluka Asumwa, pledged their support for the church’s ministry and emphasized the importance of community engagement. They advocated for unity, mutual respect, and collaboration with the Diocese.

The meeting served as a platform for reflection and dialogue, allowing the council to reaffirm their relationship with the diocese and commit to strengthening ties and fostering mutual understanding for a shared future purpose.
