At ACK St. Marys Ebulali Church within Ebukwala Parish, 23 candidates made a personal commitment to Christ, reaffirming their baptismal vows. The Confirmation service was presided over by Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere, on Sunday January 4, 2026, who performed the laying on of hands, symbolizing the candidates’ transition to full church membership and their eligibility to receive Holy Communion.

Bishop Okeno encouraged the candidates to follow Jesus, renounce evil, and lead lives dedicated to Christian service and worship. Drawing inspiration from Jeremiah 31, she delivered a powerful sermon on hope and finding favor amidst challenges, urging the congregation to place their trust in God.

Additionally, the Bishop led the consecration service of the church, advising the congregation to maintain the sanctity of the church as a place of worship and cautioning against its use for ungodly activities. She expressed her satisfaction with the congregation’s efforts in establishing a place of worship and encouraged them to remain vigilant and faithful to God.

Bishop Okeno was hosted by Rev. Simon Muyoyi, the Ebukwala Parish Vicar, along with Mulwanda Archdeacon Ven. Peter Andere, Namasoli Rural Dean Rev. Jane Orembe, and other clergy members from the region.
