On the first day of 2026, Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere led a Rededication, Confirmation, and Holy Communion service at ACK St. Andrews Imanga Parish with a key message on “possession of our inheritance, which requires obedience, purity, walking together, perseverance, learning from past mistakes, trusting in God’s provision, and timing”.
In her address, Bishop Okeno urged Christians to serve God faithfully, emphasizing that divine timing is paramount. Drawing from Numbers chapter 33, she encouraged the congregation to remember God’s blessings and learn from past shortcomings. She also expressed gratitude to the parishioners for their collaboration with the parish vicar in fostering the church’s spiritual growth.

During the service, 51 candidates were confirmed, with Bishop Okeno encouraging them to serve God diligently and maintain a prayerful life.
The service was hosted by an enthusiastic parish vicar, Rev. Moses Okwayo, who expressed his delight at the Bishop’s choice to celebrate the New Year at their parish. Also welcoming the Bishop were the Buchenya Archdeacon Ven. Daniel Inyangala, Inaya Deanery Rural Dean Rev. Paul Mwenje, Rev. Tabitha Ongoma, and other parish vicars from within the Inaya Deanery.
