Bishop Rose Okeno Presides Over Diocesan Sons and Daughters Fellowship at St. Luke’s Cathedral

Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere has praised the Diocesan Sons and Daughters Forum for their unwavering dedication and support for the ministry. She encouraged them to continue bridging gaps to experience God’s presence more fully. Her remarks were made during the Diocesan Sons and Daughters Fellowship at St. Luke’s Cathedral on Saturday, December 27, 2025, an event that unites both diaspora and local church members.

Drawing inspiration from the Book of Joshua, the Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno preached of Rev. “Trusting God to remove obstacles”, which calls for obedience, sanctification, commitment and taking action and stepping in the gap. She also emphasized the importance of repentance to maintain focus on their spiritual journey.

During the service, Dr. Edwin Amira, the Diocesan Honorary Treasurer, acknowledged the congregation’s efforts in supporting church programs and highlighted their achievements. In response, the congregation expressed gratitude to the Diocesan Administration, led by the Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno, and pledged continued support for church programs and initiatives.

The service was also attended by the Diocesan Administrative Secretary, Rev. Canon Silas Hopillo; Buchenya Archdeacon, Ven. Daniel Inyangala; the host Provost, The Very Rev. Moses Omoke; Synod Vice Chairperson, James Amukhale; and other leaders.
