On Sunday, December 14, 2025, one hundred and five candidates were confirmed at the ACK Emmanuel Shiyiro parish, in the Diocese of Butere, a service presided over by the Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno. The Bishop encouraged the candidates to continually seek God and to be prepared to serve in His ministry.
During this significant occasion, she commended the confirmation class for their dedication to God’s work, particularly highlighting their inspiring song presentation during the service. Drawing from Isaiah chapter 35, the Bishop delivered a message of hope and joy, emphasizing the theme of restoration as a symbol of God’s promise of renewal. She illustrated this message with the metaphor of transforming a desert into a place of rejoicing, representing God’s victory.

Additionally, the Diocesan Bishop took the opportunity to lay the foundation stone for a multipurpose hall, a project initiated by the parish. The parish vicar Rev. Edward Musungu noted that the completion of this project would serve as an income-generating venture for the parish, alleviating the economic burden on parishioners.
The Bishop was graciously hosted by Ven. Daniel Inyangala, the Buchenya Archdeacon, who had returned following the passing of his mother two weeks prior.
