The fifteenth ordinary synod session of the ACK Diocese of Butere has concluded, with Diocesan Bishop Rose Okeno urging members to uphold obedience and integrity in their service to God’s ministry. Bishop Okeno expressed gratitude to the delegates for their significant sacrifices in serving God and for effectively representing their parishes at this high-level church assembly.

During the two-day session, members reviewed the Diocesan vision and objectives, focusing on streamlining areas to enhance the governance of the diocese. The Synod, the highest governing body of the diocese, comprises all canonically resident clergy and two lay delegates from each parish, convening biennially.

Attention now turns to the standing committee, tasked with effectively implementing the programs highlighted by the Synod. The next meeting is scheduled for 2027.
