The ACK Diocese of Butere Bishop Rose Okeno officiated the commissioning of 184 men into the Kenya Anglican Men Fellowship during a service held on Saturday at St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere. In her address, Bishop Rose encouraged the men to walk with God and lead lives of integrity as they serve in His ministry.
Drawing inspiration from the book of Matthew Chapter 9, she urged the newly inducted members to cultivate a reverence for God, to walk in His ways, to love and serve Him wholeheartedly, and to adhere to His commandments. She also encouraged them to actively spread the gospel, inviting more men to join God’s communion.
The Rt. Rev. Rose Okeno commended the Diocesan KAMA office, led by Coordinator Rev. Steve Onani, for their exemplary efforts in facilitating the commissioning of these men, adding to the 281 members who were inducted in July.

Before her sermon, the bishop took a moment to observe silence and offer prayers for the families of recently departed members, including the Diocesan KAMA Treasurer, David Aloyo. The commissioning service was a significant event, aligning with the Diocesan mission to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and expand the Christian community.
