The ACK diocese of Butere Women Ministry Coordinator Rev. Josephine Mombo has urged teenage mothers to diligently adhere to the immunization schedules for their children. She emphasized that proper immunization significantly reduces mortality and morbidity from vaccine-preventable diseases throughout a child’s life.

Rev. Josephine made these remarks during a fellowship service with teenage mothers held at the Bakhoya boardroom on Wednesday October 22, 2025, afternoon.

During the event, the Women’s Ministry Coordinator took the opportunity to enroll the teenage mothers in the Social Health Authority (SHA) insurance scheme, which will enable them to access free medical services during hospital visits. Additionally, Rev. Josephine, accompanied by council member Bilha Aura, donated soap and diapers to the teen mothers.

The registration of teenage mothers under the SHA insurance program aligns with the Diocesan vision of addressing societal needs.
