Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere has issued a stern warning against idol worship, cautioning Christians that such practices may lead to the wrath of God. She highlighted the alarming rise of false prophets as a significant threat that could divert the faithful from their devotion to God.

Drawing inspiration from Jeremiah Chapter 23, Bishop Okeno emphasized the necessity for Christians to maintain their faith in God to receive His favor. She also addressed the issue of corruption within church and government operations, urging believers to embrace repentance as a pathway to experiencing God’s greatness.

These remarks were made during the rededication and confirmation service for 53 candidates at ACK St. Mark’s Church in Ilala, Mulwanda Parish. Bishop Okeno encouraged the congregation to warmly welcome the new converts into God’s ministry and to support them on their spiritual journey.

The service was hosted by Mulwanda Archdeacon Ven. Canon Peter Andere, Namasoli Deanery Area Dean Rev. Jane Orembe, and other parish vicars from the Namasoli Deanery.
