Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere presided over a confirmation service for seventy candidates at St. Stephen’s Inaya Parish, affirming their deep commitment to their faith in God. Her sermon encouraged the candidates to remain steadfast and prayerful as they embark on their journey of service within God’s ministry.
The Confirmation service was part of the Rededication and Holy Communion service with The Rt. Rev. Rose drawing inspiration from the book of Hebrews 11:1-16, emphasized the importance of putting faith into action. She articulated that true faith embodies both confidence and hope, underscoring that God’s power during creation was intentional. “We cannot please God without faith and that His promises may not always align with our own timelines,” said the bishop.

Furthermore, she called upon Christians to align their actions with righteousness, asserting that a faithful life is essential for receiving God’s blessings. “One cannot truly please God without faith,” she stated, reminding the congregation that God’s timing is perfect. “Maintain your trust and faith in Him, for divine blessings await those who do.”
The Bishop was warmly hosted by Ven. Canon Peter Andere, the Mulwanda Archdeacon, who stood in for his Buchenya counterpart, Ven. Daniel Inyangala, currently on leave, Inaya Parish Vicar Rev. Paul Mwenje and other church leaders, all of whom contributed to the spirit of community and faith during this significant occasion.
