Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Diocese of Butere has officially laid the foundation stone for St. Stephen’s Buboko Church during a service that drew over three hundred congregants from the Shikunga parish.

In her address, Bishop Okeno encouraged the congregation to reflect on their spiritual journeys and to remain grateful for the blessings they have received from God. Drawing inspiration from the Book of Hosea, she reminded attendees of God’s mercies extended to those who diligently serve in His ministry.

The bishop issued a message about A God who never let go and who still loves and seeks His people even in their stubbornness.

She also urged Christians to focus on Christ and that their lives should reflect newness in Christ.

The service was further graced by the presence of Mulwanda Archdeacon Ven. Canon Peter Andere, who represented his Buchenya counterpart, Ven. Daniel Inyangala, currently on leave.

Additionally, Rev. Geoffrey Opembe encouraged the congregation to join the Butere Community Development Trust, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in saving and investing for their financial growth.
