Bishop Rose Okeno of the ACK Butere Diocese is encouraging Christians to place their hope and trust in God to experience His miraculous works. She emphasized that God is the ultimate source of comfort and urged the faithfuls to keep their focus on Him.

During the burial service for the late Mama Rosemary Mapesa Lubanga, held on Friday afternoon in Eshirembe village, the Bishop drew inspiration from Isaiah 35, a profound message of hope, comfort, and restoration.

“In this passage, we are reminded that the faithful remnant will traverse the holy road. God paves a path through our deserts and remains steadfast in accompanying us on our journey toward healing—physically, emotionally, spiritually, and economically,” she explained.

She further noted that God not only restores but also transforms our grief into joy and our suffering into laughter. “For those who place their trust in God, suffering is not a permanent state; it is a temporary chapter in a larger narrative of hope and renewal,” she added.

In her eulogy for Mama Rosemary, the Bishop highlighted her unwavering dedication to the church and her role in instilling strong values in her children, who continue to serve in God’s ministry.

The burial service was attended by several prominent church leaders, including Rev. Canon Silas Hopillo, the Diocesan Administrative Secretary, and Ven. Daniel Inyangala, the Buchenya Archdeacon, among others.

Dr. Henry Lubanga, representing the family, praised their late mother for her enduring legacy and her deep faith in God.
