The Africa Six female bishops’ leadership training, also known as “Africa Six”, has concluded at St. Julian’s Limuru. Bishop Rose Okeno of ACK Butere Diocese actively participated in the training and led Wednesday’s devotion.

During her session, the Rt. Rev. Rose drew inspiration from John 21:1-17 and emphasized the importance of humble leadership. She highlighted that leaders who acknowledge their limitations and rely on God’s grace are best equipped to care for God’s flock with love. Bishop Rose also pointed out that failure does not have to be the end, using Peter’s denial of Jesus, and Jesus’s recalling of him as an example of how God gives second chances.

She encouraged her colleague bishops to maintain their faith in God, especially during challenging times, remembering that God comes through at the lowest moments. Additionally, Bishop Rose reminded everyone that Jesus provides for our needs, just as he prepared breakfast for his disciples. He understands all we need and will always provide for us.

Overall, the training session was a valuable opportunity for female bishops to enhance their leadership skills and deepen their spiritual understanding. Bishop Rose’s message resonated with all attendees, inspiring them to lead with humility, faith, and love.
