
Twenty-five Christian teachers and chaplains graduated from the Education For Life program, which is administered by Anglican Missions Africa.
The graduation ceremony which took place on Saturday April 26, 2025, was officiated by Bishop Isaiah Obuya of the ACK Diocese of Nambale at Butere Girls High School, marking the beginning of a new chapter for these educators who are committed to making a positive impact in God’s ministry.
The graduates, who completed their training in 2024 as part of the first cohort, received a chaplaincy certificate from the University of Nations which is a training institution of Youth With A Mission (YWAM).
This achievement signifies their dedication to serving their communities with faith and compassion.

The first cohort graduation came a day after the completion of the second cohort of Christian teachers training at Butere Girls High School, with their graduation ceremony scheduled to take place following five weeks of online instruction.
The training program, which attracted 40 participants, was made possible through a partnership between the ACK Diocese of Butere and Anglican Missions Africa.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Reverend Canon Silas Hopillo, the administrative secretary of the ACK Diocese of Butere, as well as Reverend Canon Robert Matati, the Education secretary, chair of education board Lay Canon Grace Namai among other diocesan officials.
Their presence underscored the importance of equipping educators with the tools and knowledge needed to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their students in schools and communities.
