The Mothers Union Department of the ACK Diocese of Butere is dedicated to promoting strong families rooted in Christian values. The Chairperson, Mama Truphena Nasengo, said they have implemented programs designed to empower women in the diocese to build a solid foundation deeply rooted in Christ.

The soft spoken chairperson urged all women in the diocese to participate in the upcoming program starting in May, which will focus on teaching women how to raise children in a way that honors God.

Her sentiments were supported by the Diocesan Mothers Union Coordinator, Lay Reader Josephine Mombo, as she emphasized the importance of understanding Anglican liturgy, as well as the vision and mission of the diocese. These key elements will be highlighted in the upcoming program to ensure that women are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to strengthen their families and communities.

Their remarks were made during the conclusion of a two-day workshop for trainers at the ACK St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere. The event served as a platform for sharing ideas and strategies to further enhance the impact of the Mothers Union Department in the diocese.

TOTs workshop was in preparation for the upcoming Mothers Union enrollment in the diocese. The team is being prepared to assist in training and preparing candidates for enrolment.
