
The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Butere Bishop Rose Okeno has urged leaders to guide and educate their team members on the vision and expectations of the organization, ensuring that everyone is aligned towards a common goal.
The Rt. Rev. Okeno emphasized on the need for leaders to cultivate a strong team that can share the responsibilities of leadership and lay a foundation for a prosperous future as they trust them and avoid unnecessary conflicts that may hinder progress.
In addition, she put strong emphasis on the significance of effective leadership within the Butere diocese ACK sponsored institutions inisisting on the importance of building a team and mentoring others.
She was speaking at the induction service of the new Ibokolo Secondary School principal Anekeya on Tuesday morning where she advised him to be a careful listner as he administers the school for better education standards.
Drawing inspiration from the book of Exodus 18:13-26, Bishop Okeno reminded of the importance of seeking God’s guidance leadership journey, just as Moses did when leading the Israelites to the promised land.
Furthermore, she insisted that leadership is a calling from God, and as such, it should be approached with utmost care and dedication calling on leaders to be steadfast in their commitment to serving others and be unwavering in their pursuit of God’s direction.

The service was attended by other principals including Patrick Shikanda of Bukolwe secondary school, Joseph Inganga of Shitsitswi secondary school, Lay Canon Luke Ogolla of ACK St. James Lunza Boys High School, as well as Former Butere Girls High School principal Lay Canon Grace Namai among others.
The induction service marked the beginning of a new educational chapter for the new Ibokolo Secondary School principal, laying the foundation for his dedication to service, and upholding Christian faith receiving a prayer book and a bible to signify the spiritual foundation on which the school is laid.
