The Anglican Church of Tanzania, Diocese of Mara, Bishop George Okoth, has encouraged Christian faithful to remain steadfast in prayer and thanksgiving.
The Right Reverend George emphasized that everything belongs to God, and He provides for us when we believe and trust in Him through thanksgiving.
During a joint Mothers Union and KAMA rally at ACK St. Stephens Inaya, Bishop George drew inspiration from 2 Corinthians 9:8, encouraging church members to trust in God for sufficient grace and to serve Him wholeheartedly.
He also stressed the importance of being a blessing to others, symbolizing our investment in God for future blessings.
Bishop Rose Okeno, the host bishop, echoed Bishop George’s sentiments and highlighted the positive impact of the annual thanksgiving services on the diocese since its inception three years ago.
She expressed gratitude to the church members for their dedication to the thanksgiving initiative, which has contributed to the growth of the ACK Diocese of Butere.
The joint rally brought together parishioners from ten different parishes within the diocese.
Meanwhile, the visiting Tanzanian clergy continued their pastoral work in their respective parishes, visiting and praying for church members in their homes for the second consecutive day.
