Thanksgiving services serve as a powerful reminder for Christians of the importance of staying close to God and recognizing His presence in their lives. These services provide an opportunity to nurture one’s spiritual life and strengthen their relationship with God, whose love is eternal.

The impactful sermon was delivered by Rev. Jane Orembe, the Rural Dean of ACK Namasoli parish, during a thanksgiving service held at Mundeku County Polytechnic on Thursday morning. Rev. Orembe emphasized the significance of expressing gratitude to God in both good and challenging times, drawing inspiration from the book of Psalms 106 to highlight the enduring power of God.

The service not only allowed students to offer thanks to God but also encouraged them to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits. Rev. Orembe urged the staff to maintain professionalism while motivating the students to distinguish themselves as they undergo their training.

In the absence of the polytechnic’s principal away on official assignments, Ms. Nancy Wesonga expressed gratitude to the Anglican church, particularly to Rev. Orembe and Chaplain Rose Sunguti, for their dedicated pastoral care within the institution. She pledged to continue collaborating with the church to ensure the spiritual nourishment of the students and the smooth operation of activities at the polytechnic.

The Thanksgiving service saw fifty three students and one teacher commit their lives to Jesus Christ promising to start a new Holy life.
