The Right Reverend Rose Okeno, Bishop of the Diocese of Butere, has encouraged the Shibembe community to collaborate closely with the new principal of Shibembe Secondary School, Michael Muhati, in order to achieve the best academic outcomes.
Bishop Okeno emphasized the importance of discipline in education, warning that a lack of it could hinder the school’s success. She commended the school’s excellent infrastructure and urged the community to advocate for increased student enrollment to fully utilize the available resources.
During the induction service for Mr. Michael Muhati as the new principal, Bishop Okeno assured the community that they had received the best principal based on his background. She advised Mr. Muhati to listen attentively to all stakeholders as he takes on his new leadership role.
Mr. Muhati, a seasoned educator in Kiswahili and History, has a wealth of experience from various high schools, including his former immediate station Butere Boys High School where He served as the deputy principal. He is now tasked with leading a school of 170 students and 10 teachers to greater success.
