ACK St. Mathew’s Ikomero Mixed Secondary School board chairman Mr. Fredrick Okello joins students in songs and dances to celebrate the 2024 KCSE examinations results on Friday, January 10, 2025.

Students from St. Mathews Ikomero Secondary School took to the streets to celebrate their 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results. They expressed their elation and relief upon receiving their exam results, which revealed a mean score of 6.25.

The students joyously sang and danced as they embarked on a celebratory procession from the school to Shiatsala, Shianda, Manyulia, Namasoli, and back to the school. Mrs. Metrine Okose, the school’s Deputy Principal of Administration, conveyed the principal’s pride in the students for exceeding their academic goals.

Mrs. Okose announced that 46 students achieved the university-grade, while the remaining students will pursue their studies at colleges of their choice. She highlighted the top-performing candidate who attained a B plus, along with seven students who earned a B plain and twenty-eight students who achieved a grade of C plus. Only four students received the lowest grade of a D plain, with no students scoring an E grade.

The School Board Chairman, Fredrick Okello, commended the students’ achievements and pledged to work diligently with all stakeholders to secure a school bus to commemorate the outstanding results. Okello emphasized that the school’s success in the KCSE exams reaffirms its position as an educational leader in the Khwisero sub-county.

The celebratory atmosphere remained peaceful as the students vowed to set even higher academic targets for future national exams. The impressive results mirror the Diocesan Bishop Rose Okeno’s directive for school principals to elevate educational standards in all ACK-sponsored schools within the Butere Diocese.
