Bishop Rose Okeno presided over confirmation of 61 candidates and two church dedication services at the parish of ACK Shibanga on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

The day began with Rt. Rev. Okeno planting a tree at the ACK St. Stephen’s Shibanga parish, followed by a dedication service at ACK St. Joseph’s Emahanga church. She then returned to ACK St. Stephens Shibanga to conclude the services of confirmation and dedication.

In her sermon, Bishop Okeno urged the congregation to support and guide the 61 confirmed candidates as they begin their journey of faith in Christ. Referencing Matthew 17:1-17, she stressed the significance of knowing Christ, listening to Him,and following His teaching, as God reveals Himself in the Trinity.

The parish vicar, Rev. Aggrey Okutoyi, expressed gratitude to Bishop Okeno for dedicating her valuable time to the services, especially amidst her busy December schedule, which included her daughter’s recent wedding.

Bishop Okeno’s presence and wise words had a profound impact on the parishioners, motivating them to strengthen their relationship with Christ and uphold the teachings of the church.
