Bishop Rose Okeno extends her heartfelt gratitude to the ACK Diocese of Butere members for successfully celebrating their third Thanksgiving service since its establishment in 2022.

She commends the diocese for its remarkable progress, particularly in investing in income generating activities.

Addressing a gathering of over 800 at St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere during the Thanksgiving service, Bishop Okeno emphasized the significance of this event as a means for congregants to deepen their personal relationship with God -a time to pause and reflect.

She highlighted the substantial developments within the diocese, including plans for a storey building on a plot in Kakamega, attributing these advancements to the annual Thanksgiving service.

During his sermon, the Ven. Canon Jonathan Kabiru underscored the importance of gratitude and its role in the life of a Christian, emphasizing that thanksgiving should be a reflection of our inner hearts, expressed through our generosity to God and others.

Benjamin Washiali, Chairman of the Tourism Regulatory Authority and former Member of Parliament for Mumias East constituency, shared the successes of his home diocese of Mumias and noted that Butere diocese is on the right path. The Thanksgiving service was a resounding success, raising Ksh. 8.2 million shillings.

The Thanksgiving service was a resounding success, raising a total of Ksh. 8.2M shillings.
