We are called to point people to Christ through His Word.
Bishop Rose Okeno presided over a confirmation service of twenty three candidates at ACK St. James Emahene parish. Upon her arrival, the bishop was honored by planting a tree as a way of climate change mitigation.
In her sermon, based on the book of Mark 10: 17-31 , Bishop Okeno challenged the congregation to fully commit their lives to Jesus Christ, setting aside everything that might hinder them from following Christ. Just like the rich man, Christ gives us opportunity to remove just that one hindrance and be able to follow Him.
During the service, over forty people gave their lives to Christ. The bishop emphasized the importance of effective discipleship for the new believers to ensure they continue on their spiritual journey.
The congregation, represented by their vicar Rev. Joshua Etemesi, expressed gratitude to Bishop Okeno for her visit, noting that it had been over a decade since they were last visited.
